01What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember things about you — that you have been before, what you chose last time, or how you found the site.
This policy also covers similar technologies that work in comparable ways, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs) and device fingerprinting. Where this policy says "cookies", it means all of these.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by a2bfx.io itself; or third-party — set by another company whose service we use.
- Session — deleted when you close your browser; or persistent — kept until they expire or you delete them.
02The rules we follow
In the UK, cookies are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) alongside the UK GDPR. In the EEA, the ePrivacy Directive and EU GDPR apply.
Those rules mean we must:
- tell you clearly what cookies we use and what they do;
- get your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary;
- make refusing as easy as accepting, and never treat silence, a pre-ticked box or continued scrolling as consent;
- let you change your mind as easily as you gave consent.
Strictly necessary cookies are the only category exempt from consent, and only where they are genuinely essential to deliver a service you have asked for.
03What a2bfx.io currently uses
The Site is a static website. As published, it sets no cookies at all unless and until you choose to accept optional ones. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts.
It also makes no third-party requests. Typefaces, imagery and video are all served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts, a CDN or a video platform, so simply loading a page does not disclose your IP address to anyone but our own hosting provider.

Separately, our hosting provider keeps server logs recording your IP address, the pages requested and basic technical data. These are not cookies; they are described in our Privacy Policy and are kept for up to 90 days for security and diagnostics.
05The four categories
Every cookie the Site could set falls into one of four categories. Only the first is exempt from consent.

If we add tools to any of the last three categories, we will list the individual cookies here, with their provider, purpose and lifespan, before those cookies are ever set. Cookie names and lifespans are determined by the providers and can change without notice.
06Your choices
On this website
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to open the banner and review or change your choices at any time. Rejecting is always exactly as easy as accepting.
To clear your choice entirely, delete the a2b_consent cookie in your browser and reload the page.
In your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will affect the usability of many websites. Instructions:
Opting out of advertising
You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at youronlinechoices.com/uk (UK and EU) or optout.aboutads.info (US). Those opt-outs are themselves stored as cookies, so clearing your cookies will reset them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is no common standard for how sites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so the Site does not currently respond to them. Where a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is received and we are legally required to honour it, we will do so.
07Cookies and your personal data
Some cookies collect information that constitutes personal data under the UK GDPR — an online identifier or IP address, for example. Where that is the case, our Privacy Policy explains your rights, how long we keep the data, who it is shared with, and how it may be transferred outside the UK.
Where we place non-essential cookies, our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the methods in section 5, without affecting anything that happened before you withdrew it.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add or remove tools. The version and "last updated" date at the top of this page tell you which version applies. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
